The current course was built in 1973 amid the beatiful mature woodland of the Blythswood Estate, giving an ambience and character which few Scotttish courses can match. With a length of over 6800 yards there is no question as to the stature of this magnificent layout.
The location on the banks of the River Clyde and River Cart makes Renfrew one of the flattest courses available. With a variety of holes to test golfers of all abilities it is an excellent design.
Renfrew is now established as one of the finest and most challenging parkland courses in the country. Little wonder then that it is a qualifying venue for The Open Championship and has built a considerable reputation from hosting many other amateur and professional tournaments.
